Maximize the Impact of Your Gift Since a Shelter is only partially used for educational purposes, according to the IRS, all spaces that are educational in nature may be funded with tax-deductible dollars gifted to the Gamma Pi Educational Foundation. We have made every effort to maximize the space that qualifies and hope the tax deductibility of your gift will allow you to stretch your support. Only a portion of the project is deemed educational in nature, so a second type of gift—one that is not tax deductible—is needed and encouraged for pledges under $5,000. A kitchen and dining room, furnishings, and sleeping quarters are not deemed educational. These gifts will go directly to the Gamma Pi House Corporation.
