Abbey Carpet® Attention Pastors: Email your church photos to events@rutherfordweekly.com By: Evangelist W.C. "Dub" Dellinger Age 95 What We Do For Our Lord, Do It Secretly I realize that we can not do everything secretly. If you study your Bible care- fully that is what Jesus got the most pleasure out of when he could do it as a surprise. I am persuaded to believe that He does a lot of things that way today. Why? He knows the future way out ahead. The writer could give you a long testi- mony on that. Let's look at Paul. No one would think of him as he was before He had his experience on the road to Damascus. Look how he turned out. He wrote over half of the New Testament. He went into Arabia and studied in caves and any other place for three years before he would even tes- tify that he had this calling. Read John 21:1-3. Then read more and see if you can see how Jesus wants to work. Notice what hap- pened when they found out that Jesus is on the shore. Notice what Peter did. They caught 153 fish in the net. And the net did not break. To these men, it really meant something. To us, it is just reading material. You can see why Jesus did this. Jesus was using these people to start building trust and belief in them. I am persuaded that He does the same thing today for those He can see trusts in him. Maybe in some church work or home work. Who did you witness to this week? Who did you invite to church this week? I was once in a church and the preacher roped off the back seats for visitors and the others had to come up front (good idea). Some who read this were there. I notice that a lot of chil- dren are left alone in pub- lic. Speak to them, say a few kind words. Joke with them. That will bring smiles to them and their parents.
