In the Buzz this week we will take a sneak peek at new projects from Jamie Grace, Casting Crowns and Kari Jobe. Jamie Grace received huge accolades and awards following her debut album "One Song At A Time" in 2011 that brought us the song "Hold Me". Just this week she released her sophomore project "Ready To Fly" which features the radio hit "Beautiful Day". "I'm still having a hard time processing the response to 'Hold Me,' the song I started in my dorm room," says Grace. "The past few years have been absolutely incredible and I feel so blessed to have the privilege of sharing even more music. 'Beautiful Day,' although a fun song, has a message saying that in spite of what we're going through, every day is a good day and an incredible gift because God made it. In my young life I've learned that every day can begin with worshipping my Creator." The members of Casting Crowns still make time to work extensively with students in the churches they attend in the Atlanta area. The message in their music is often influenced by what they learn from and teach to these young people. Lead singer Mark Hall shares some thoughts behind "Thrive", the album they just released this week. "So many of us today are simply surviving. But we were not made to survive, we were made to thrive! We should be digging into God's word to know him and know who He has made us to be. We should be reaching out to the world and showing others who He is through our lives and our stories — knowing Him and making Him known." Thrive, the seventh studio album from Casting Crowns, is packed with songs about real life that point us to our purpose from Him. Featuring 12 brand new songs, including the lead single "All You've Ever Wanted," the album centers on the themes of "Reaching Out" and "Digging Deep." Popular singer and worship leader Kari Jobe has been working on her new CD for some time now. "I wrote for this album for a solid two years and was able to co-write with some friends who absolutely have a heart to write for Church," states Jobe. Majestic co-writers include Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Reuben Morgan, Paul Baloche, along with a few others. These songs are new anthems of worship and very congregational. "I am very excited for these new songs. My passion in life is to lead worship and help people to connect to the presence of God. I cannot wait for people to connect with these new songs and fill the earth with more worship to our Majestic King." The new album, Majestic, STEVE TURLEY, Station manager Christian will be available March 25. 107.3 COMMENTS? Editor@upandcomingweekly.com. NEW YEAR NEW CAREER! We're Hiring and We Need You!
