January 1, 2014 Quartzsite Food Bank is grateful Quartzsite Food Bank Director Carol Kelley said, "I'd like to thank everyone who helped the Food Bank during the holidays. Your donations and hard work helped us adopt some families in the Angel Tree to have a better Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are so grateful for your support. We want you to know that many in our community received help because of your efforts. A huge thank you to Miss Debbie who helped coordinating the Christmas boxes at Quartzsite Elementary School." She said, "We are still looking for organizations to coordinate it...maybe at a later date." According to Bruno, many municipalities are declining to sponsor parades due to insurance liabilites.
