Chapter Continues Strong Giving to Charity;
Has One of the Largest Pledge Classes on Campus
he fall semester got off to a great start for the Iota Iota Chapter of Sigma
Chi and the new house is serving the chapter extremely well. For the
second year in a row we brought in the largest pledge class in our history,
welcoming 52 new men into our ranks. A large pledge class depends on a
good recruitment of new members, a process that must begin months or
years in advance, not unlike recruitment for football. I ask that alumni
please send our recruitment committee recommendations for potential new
members that live up to the Jordan Standard, even if they are a few years
away from attending the Capstone. You can see the full committee list on
page 5 or contact Ford Lindsay '16 at iotaiotarush@gmail.com.

I am also happy to report that over the summer we donated the $19,250
raised during Derby Days in April to the Children's Hospital of Alabama. Since
2002 Iota Iota has donated almost $175,000 to Children's Hospital and
other charities. In addition to our philanthropy, our brothers logged 220
hours of community service in 2012-13. We look forward to continuing this
tradition of service and philanthropy in 2014 and hope to set new records
in the years ahead.
