A Great Weekend to Be a Pike T he undergraduate brothers were great hosts for the 11th annual Pike Reunion Weekend at Purdue. This was the first year since 1997 that they have had a full Chapter House with over 60 young men. Special thanks goes to Chapter President Quentin Phelps '15 and Alumni Chairperson John O'Grady '15 for coordinating a great weekend. Alumni enjoyed the enthusiasm of the Chapter and a new pledge class of 27 young men. With the football game starting at 8 p.m., alumni enjoyed a full day of activities at the Chapter House. Highlights were the alumni sing along and the wonderful homemade food prepared by the house chef Rob Holmes. The traditional group picture outside the front colonial columns is shown below. Each of these Brothers received a $1,000 scholarship from Beta Phi alumni. giving back to the campaign simple. I would encourage everyone to think about what a difference being a member of Pi Kappa Alpha has made on your life and consider making a gift to honor your experience." Bob has also maintained the friendships he made while an undergraduate. "I enjoy attending the alumni reunion weekend every year, and a few times a year I just pick a brother at random and call him up to see how he's doing. I encourage everyone to do that; just call and surprise someone—you never know where it may lead. I called a brother who works for the FBI and he is now pointing my daughter in the right direction to find a job in Washington, D.C., after her graduation." Alumni, undergraduates, and pledges in white shirts and ties at the annual reunion. After graduating, Bob went on to earn his law degree from Villanova in 1985. He is the managing partner of Nice Law Firm LLP, with offices in Indianapolis, Kokomo, and Danville, Indiana. In his free time he enjoys shooting sporting clays, golfing, and fishing.
