Texas Alpha is now recognized to be in the topechelon of Phi Kappa Psi's 110 chapters.   The foundation of the Phi Kappa Psi Chapter Excellence Program is the 11 standards of operation adopted by the Executive Council. The 11 areas of evaluation are: ritual, scholarship, membership recruitment, campus and community involvement, chapter operations, fraternity education, financial management, alumni relations, housing, risk management and code of conduct. Texas Alpha's effort was completed by the active chapter under the leadership of David Thomson '10.
