Chapter History Preserved for Future
I
t was a busy summer for the House Corporation and house staff as
we prepared for the new school year. I am happy to report that many
improvements and repairs to the chapter house were accomplished.
We continue to ensure that our members have a safe, comfortable and
beautiful home.
Repairs and improvements include:

Living room: new carpeting, furniture, faux finish of fireplace wall
and artwork

Basement: new carpeting on the stairs and floor
R
Dining room: faux finish on the fireplace
R
Vestibule and foyer: new artwork and an upholstered bench
R
Exterior: new brick wall under the front porch and new landscaping
R Room: custom media wall unit

Rowland Design Archives History
We continue to work with Rowland Design to ensure that our chapter
house conveys the Alpha Epsilon Phi pride and heritage to all of our
current and prospective members. During my August visit, I went through
all of the historical items in the chapter room and engaged Rowland in a
project to archive and display items in the chapter room. There were many
items and photographs dating back to the 1930s that will be preserved for
future generations of Mu Chapter members and alumnae.
New carpeting and furniture give the living room a polished look.
Visit the Chapter House
The chapter is flourishing and recently welcomed 56 new members in a
competitive recruitment environment. Chapter house upkeep and upgrades
are an important aspect of presenting AEPhi to prospective new members.
I hope that you have an opportunity to visit Champaign in the near future
and see the updates to the chapter house. I encourage you to stay in touch
and share your news and updates with us. We'd love to hear from you and
