The Oracle 3 An Exciting Time to Be a Lambda Chi Alpha-Omicron Raises Chapter GPA to 3.2 T he past few months have been an exciting time for brothers at Alpha-Omicron Zeta. The Chapter House received a number of updates over this summer and we are truly grateful for the continued loyalty and support of alumni who helped make the project a success. The updates to the main areas of the Chapter House, as well as the House Corporation's dedication to making our home a safe environment for all brothers helped us recruit the best associate members this year. Chapter Academic Policies Show Results This spring semester we raised our Chapter GPA to 3.2. Ranking tenth out of all the IFC fraternities, LCA was also above the university undergraduate, all-Greek, and all-men's averages. At AlphaOmicron we hold our academics in high regard and have study tables that are mandatory for associate members, as well as brothers, who do not meet a certain GPA requirement. Another policy requires associates to attain at least a 2.7, which is above the university requirement to be a member. law allows anyone to alert authorities if someone underage is in need of medical attention without fear of prosecution for drinking. It is our hope that through the new philanthropic endeavor that more people on campus and in the community will be more aware of the life saving action they can take, despite legal ramifications. Sophomores Alex Kimbrell and Skylar Williams. Revamping Recruitment Recruitment at IU this year has changed to a more formal structure and brothers worked over the summer to recommend potential associate members. Recruitment officially begins September 25. Recruitment events include whiffleball, football and other sports. With a recruitment goal of 40 new members, the largest associate class our Chapter has seen, we have our sights set high for this semester. The brothers of Alpha-Omicron are grateful to our alumni for the support they have shown through the house renovation process. Our successes are the successes of LCA and we love to have you involved and in touch. Changes in Philanthropy Events This year undergraduate Brothers will participate in a philanthropy event in memory of a student at the University that passed away just days before school started. Brothers are working together to organize a campus and community run and hopes to spread awareness about Indiana Life Line Law.
