Coming off a wildly successful spring semester, we kept the ball rolling throughout the summer with maximum participation at the annual Leadership Institute in Phoenix. The Chapter finished in the top spot for Overall Chapter Excellence, and we were once again a finalist for the Sweepstakes Award. Next year's Leadership Institute will be held in Kansas City, so we are striving to bring the trophy home on our own turf. On campus, our Chapter is known for its leadership and involvement in student organizations. Seth Miller '14 serves as the president of the Interfraternity Council, and he is aided by Trevor McGowan '15, who is the director of recruitment. Also, five juniors were accepted into the lucrative Finance Scholars Program for students interested in a competitive career in the financial services industry. On the academic side, the Chapter maintained an average GPA of 3.11, putting us at third on The Hill. Alumni are always welcome at the house, so feel free to stop by the next time you are in Lawrence. Hope to see all of you soon, and Dikaia Upotheke. In an effort to further strengthen our relationship with the community, Kansas DU has partnered with Kennedy Elementary School in Lawrence to assist with its school carnival, field day, and various events throughout the year. Further, Jake Ablah '15 is setting the bar high for this year's Greg Wilkerson Football Classic with the goal of involving each sorority in an effort to raise more than $5,000.
