Art People Chris Lott Trained in creative writing, Hartwick na- tive Lott is entirely self-taught in the visual arts, save for a few failed drawing classes here and there, he said. Influenced by sound as much as sight, Lott credits Frank Kozik, The Clash, Marco Alm- era, Tom Waits, Garrett Karol and Bruce Springsteen with shaping his visual style. Experimentation and improvisation are as much to blame for developing his style as any textbook, he said. His website is http://eveningwith.vox.com. See his stuff in person: Large-scale reprints of Eveningwith Designs music posters are hanging in The Oneonta Theatre’s new Lobby Lounge at 47 Chestnut St. The grand opening of the lounge was Wednesday, Nov. 10, with local musi- cians Micah Resney and The Spectacu- lar Average Boys (Ned Brower and Luke Moran) performing. 26 O-Town Scene Nov. 11, 2010
