Recruitment Recommendations Phi-Trotters Raises More Than $2,000 for Philanthropy Rho Chapter Implements Weekly Sisterhood Activities T his year has been filled with great excitement! We held our annual philanthropy event, PhiTrotters, and raised $2,260 with 40 teams playing in the tournament. We were so thrilled that the Phi-Trotters event was a success and decided to host three more philanthropy events! We hosted Say Cheese on September 19 and will be hosting the Phi-tober Phest on October 12 and the LF Trunkshow on October 17. Spirit Week Service Projects Rho Chapter completed several service projects during Spirit Week this year. We gave back to the Columbus community by participating in the Food Truck Festival through Ronald McDonald House, spending a day at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, participating in My Very Own Blanket, and helping with the Children's Hunger Alliance. Sisterly Events Increase GPA Members volunteer at Ohio State's Community Commitment event during Welcome Week. We have been working hard to ensure that AEPhi's three columns are represented in our actions. We have maintained chapter-wide mandatory study hours to ensure that our GPA remains in top shape. In addition, we have planned at least one sisterhood event each week. Sisters have been most excited for the '70s-themed roller skating event, a trip to Lynd's Fruit Farm and Corn Maze, and challah baking. Rho Plans Values-Based Recruitment In order to prepare for recruitment in January, we have instituted weekly values-based recruitment workshops. These workshops ensure that recruitment will be as successful as possible in the winter. We aim to recruit women who firmly share our beliefs. A Busy, Exciting Semester This semester will definitely be a busy one for Rho, but we are ready and excited! It has been my pleasure to correspond with all of you as chapter president. I cannot wait to meet you this October at the Homecoming event. See you in Columbus!
