Poised for Success at UF Spring 2024 was a fantastic semester for Tau Chapter! We excelled in all four pillars that define a well-balanced fraternity. Service and Philanthropy Our Chapter is proud of our philanthropy events, SandbOX and the Dream Girl competition. We raised more than $14,000 for charities, including the United Service Organization. SandbOX, our annual beach volleyball tournament, saw enthusiastic participation from sorority teams competing for the title. The Dream Girl competition added further excitement and engagement, significantly contributing to our fundraising efforts. We aim to continue growing these events, with a goal to increase participation and support by involving more alumni. Their engagement can enhance the success and reach of philanthropic initiatives, allowing us to make a greater impact on our supported charities. Bonding as Brothers Our brotherhood excelled in intramural sports, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination by winning both the basketball and soccer intramural titles this season. After facing tough competition and overcoming challenges, our team's hard work and perseverance paid off, resulting in impressive victories. We hosted a fantastic crawfish boil brotherhood event at the Chapter House, drawing more than 100 active members for an unforgettable day. The courtyard buzzed with energy as attendees played basketball and socialized. Chef Josh cooked up a delicious spread, making the event even more special. The shared camaraderie and good times exemplify our fraternity's strong bonds. UF Involvement Tau Chapter has shown outstanding campus involvement, with many brothers taking on significant leadership roles and making notable achievements. Former Vice President Jack Levy '21 was elected as Student Government Productions chairman, while Chancellor Wilson '22 was nominated and elected as SGP comptroller. Former Vice President Sazzad Mabud '21 was inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame, and Ryan Klein '21 was tapped into Florida Blue Key's Spring 2024 class. Numerous brothers represent us through prestigious organizations like Florida Blue Key, the Student Senate, Vision Party Campaign Exec, and several others. Tau's strong presence and group contributions underscore our commitment to leadership and service within the campus community.
