S&D: Tell us where you were born,
formative years, family.
JR: I was born in Austin to parents Mike
and Cindy Roberts. I have a brother who also
attended UT (not in fraternity life) and a sister
who is a senior at my alma mater, Anderson
High School. My father works at Dell and

commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer in
the Navy, where he served for four years. My
mother is a physical therapist who works in
home health with elderly clients.

has a strong NROTC battalion. My journey to

all of my time at PIKE rush events but ended
up originally deciding to go somewhere else.
Shortly into pledgeship I determined fraternity
