Delta Gamma at the University of Iowa Spring 2024 INSIDE: Tau's Resident Rower p. 2 • Welcome, New Members p. 2 • Alumnae News p. 3 Ties to Tau T au has achieved so much recently! We're excited to revisit and share the fun events we held, the memories we made, and the many accomplished sisters who made us so proud. Membership Updates After recruitment, we successfully added 48 new members to our Chapter. We loved teaching them about Delta Gamma and getting to know the new personalities they have brought to our Chapter. We said a bittersweet goodbye to our 2023 CMT and JCMT; we're grateful for the assistance and leadership they showed us. We also had two members, Sabina Reiz '20 and Grace Vornsand '20, graduate in December and we wished them the best of luck in this new chapter of their lives as alumnae. Sisterhood Successes The spring semester is off to a busy start. In January, we welcomed our new CMT with open arms, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish throughout their term. We began a new programming event highlighting our sisters' accomplishments each month. That included Cecelia Tauer '21 receiving her white coat, Mary-Faith Murray '21 and Julia Thiry '21 being initiated into Delta Beta Chapter of Order of Omega, and Sarah Howell '20, who studied abroad and educated the Chapter on the many cultures she experienced overseas. What's Ahead This year, we've hosted our semi-formal, a date party, and many other sisterhood events that have allowed us to grow closer. The rest of the semester is packed with Delta Gamma events, and we could not be more excited! We look forward to enjoying our annual Anchor Splash with other organizations on campus as we raise money for Service for Sight. We will also be hosting Gal's Getaway as we celebrate bonds of sisterhood with important ladies in our lives. We will be wrapping up the semester with our A Night Under the Stars formal and bidding farewell to the seniors we love so much.
