Kappa Sigma T he gentlemen of Beta-Chi have been busy competing in Greek Week, Greek Sing, Zeta Tau Alpha's Crown Prince, and other Fraternities' philanthropic events. Chapter Accplishmen We placed second overall in Greek Week. This was disappointing, though we're looking forward to competing and winning next year. Greek Sing was a big success. We had a band comprised of three members: Nick Kelsch '19, Sam Nix '22, and Quint Gholson '23. Their favorite song to perform is "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Quint also entered Zeta's Crown Prince competition, taking home first place. Family Time We had a great time celebrating our annual Dad's Weekend, which included a day at the Oak Meadows Golf Course, followed by hanging out on the patio of Tater Patch. As always, it concluded with some basement festivities. It's always fun for the undergraduates to see their dads relive their college days. We look forward to having Mom's Weekend in the spring as well as possibly implementing a Family Weekend to include all family members. Lking Ahead Beta-Chi continues to be on the incline for grades, having reached a GPA of 3.1 for the spring and summer. We continue to recognize that scholarship is a pillar—it should be at the forefront of our priorities. The house is looking forward to completing a cudgel this spring for the first time since 2018. We need help with the process of hollowing out and carving the tree. If you are willing to help the undergraduates at all, please contact me at (636) 385-0893. This past fall included one of the best Homecoming celebrations in recent years. It was my third Homecoming, and we hosted the most alumni I've seen yet as well as the Chapter House having the most members it has seen in recent years. It was amazing to see pledge classes gather and share stories about what Kappa Sigma means to them and how the house was "back in my day." We hope even more alumni can come down in fall 2024.
