\\\\\\\\\\\\ FINAL NOTES \\\\\\\\\\\\
Esteemed Alumnus,
My term as Alumni Relations Officer has nearly
come to an end. It's been an eye-opening experi-
ence to be on the executive board this past year;
I'm grateful for the opportunity I've had to help
further the chapter.
That being said, you're not done with me yet!
There's one last program I'd like to start before I
go. That is a chapter-wide mentorship program.
One of the reasons why being on the executive
board this year was such a great experience for
me was because I had alumni (Rob Banerjee and
Ben Klick) rooting for me. Yes, Rob and Ben
praised me for the good work I did (obviously) . .
. but yes, they also pushed me when I slacked off.
Because I had Rob and Ben in my corner, I be-
came a better leader and a more proficient com-
municator.
When I look at the dynamics between the other
executive officers and their BOT mentors, I see
similarities. All of us have the potential to be
great leaders, but sometimes it's hard for us to re-
alize that potential when schoolwork, extracurric-
ulars, ATO, work, and social gatherings interfere
destructively. We need accountability and support
from others more knowledgeable than ourselves
to guide us. That's where you come in.
At a recent chapter meeting, I polled the present
actives to see how many would value having an
alum as a mentor, and I got an overwhelming ma-
jority in favor of an active-alumni mentorship
program.
"What does being a mentor mean?" you ask.
That's up to you! Any help you can provide your
active is appreciated. The only requirement is that
you give your mentee your contact and be availa-
ble when he's really in need of your guidance. If
becoming a mentor for one of our actives interests
you, please consider filling out this form:
https://forms.gle/F72oUKNLXS75zCGKA. No
commitment is necessary, just interest!
Thank you very much for considering volunteer-
ing your time to mentor our actives. I know your
time is money, so thanks for making us wealthy.
If you have any questions about this flagship pro-
gram, please give me a call at (424)212-3623.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Jack Cooperman '25
