lambda chi alpha FALL 2023 EDITION ALPHA ETA NEWSLETTER oklahoma state university alumni association alpha eta The final Homecoming dec beyond the Theta Pond. It's been a great fall for Alpha Eta Chapter! The Chapter had an outstanding Homecoming this year, showcasing remarkable teamwork with the women of Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Beta Phi. Their collaborative efforts resulted in a spectacular dec that impressed everyone on campus. The actives demonstrated exceptional preparation and dedication, making the entire Chapter proud of their achievements! In August, we held our annual alumni event back at the great location of Zink Ranch and it was a phenomenal success, bringing together past members in a celebration of the enduring Lambda Chi Alpha tradition. The event served as a testament to the strong bonds formed within the Chapter, and it's essential for new alumni to mark their calendars for next fall's gathering to carry on this cherished tradition! Looking ahead, Alpha Eta Chapter is in the process of planning an exciting spring alumni event. While the date is yet to be determined, there's no doubt it will be another memorable occasion for both current and past members to reconnect and celebrate the enduring legacy of Lambda Chi Alpha. Please stay tuned for a date to be announced! In Z.A.X., Michael Hernandez AH1930 Vice President of Alumni Engagement TRADITIONS CONTINUE AT LAMBDA CHI ALPHA N ew semester, same goal. Alpha Eta has continued its constant contributions and has been growing tremendously. High Beta Hunter Case AH2094 introduced the Chapter to brotherhood dinners, which consists of members and associates. These dinners were implemented into Hunter's budget to build a stronger bond within the membership. On the external side of things, Jack Lee AH2120 has been building our philanthropic contributions around the Greek and Stillwater communities. Our spring philanthropy, Lambda Daq Days, raised over $3,400 for Wings of Hope, a non-profit organization in Stillwater that combats domestic violence. Our fall philanthropy, Watermelon Bust, brought in over 2,400 cans for the Salvation Army, and our funds exceeded $1,100, which was also donated to Wings of Hope. Apart from philanthropic contributions, we have been on track to build better relations with our active members and alumni. This fall, we have had over six alumni come see our growth and, of course, receive a tour of the beautiful house that sits on University Avenue. Furthermore, High Rho Matthew Krieg AH2122 has been stepping the game up. This past spring, he met with alumnus Jeff Hughes AH1689 for a business talk event at Karsten Creek Golf Club. Throughout the meeting, Jeff shared multiple views of the business world outside of college. He wanted to inspire those with entrepreneurial dreams to keep striving for what they want. Lastly, when it comes to recruitment, Lambda Chi Alpha has perfected it. Our High Delta, Josh McCormick AH2104, brought in a class of 48 potential new members, which has boiled down to 39 associates. Throughout recruitment, Josh wanted to find the fastest way possible to give PNMs a good understanding of what Lambda Chi Alpha holds for the future of everyone who signs into the fraternity, so he traveled from Tulsa to Oklahoma City and all the way down to Dallas, Texas. Throughout his visits with the recruitment team, he would always remind them to help potential new members get to know the team on a personal basis so the PNM would ultimately feel comfortable around the guys.
