John was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1959 for one term, and in 1963, he was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate for one term. When his father had a stroke and passed away, John left politics to take care of the family businesses in real estate brokerage, insurance, and real estate appraising. I found that Lambda Chi Alpha is based upon Christian ideals and values that matched my standard. Throughout my associateship, I have found myself gaining traits that I have not practiced daily throughout my life. Lambda Chi Alpha fulfills everything I was looking for." –Landon Smith "Lambda Chi Alpha was the most up-front about its goals and beliefs. They consistently brought me around older members as well as guys who had already signed into the fraternity. I would have never guessed I would get to join a fraternity where the men practice great traits of leadership. I have learned so much from the membership ranging from study habits to divine integrity throughout everything I do." –Guy Lewins "As a legacy of Lambda Chi Alpha, it was already at the top of my list, but I was not going to let that sway my decisions. I chose Lambda Chi Alpha because I knew it was going to make me a better man. The men rushing me were more put together when it came to leadership and maturity. Also, Lambda Chi Alpha's goals and values were very similar to mine, and I knew it would be a perfect match." –Hayden Cromwell "As a legacy, when I started recruitment, it was apparent that Lambda Chi Alpha was at the top of my list. Throughout the process, the recruitment team seemed like they had a desire to get to know who I am and what I live for. I immediately knew that Lambda Chi Alpha was the fraternity where I belonged. I would consistently ask questions about college, and they would give me a straight answer. Everything was very transparent, and it prepared me to perfect my college experience." –Rex Lindsey C H A P T E R E T E R N A L Gerald Frye April 20, 1945 - November 1, 2023
