The Alpha Avalanche is produced
by Texas Alpha, for Texas Alpha. Our
coverage of alumni and undergraduate
life comes to you thanks to the
volunteers who collect and contribute
stories of Phi Psis at the university, in
their careers or at gatherings with their
generation of brothers.
This fall, many of us will turn our
attention to football, family and
year-end tax planning. Yes, TAEF is a
501(c)(3) charity as recognized by the
IRS. Your tax-deductible donations
to the Texas Alpha Endowment Fund
not only cover the costs associated
with production, printing and mailing
of the Alpha Avalanche, but also
the upcoming 2024 Founders Day,
barbecue for football tailgates at the
house, email announcements, our
website and house maintenance/
operations in support of our educational
mission.

CELEBRATE
TEXAS ALPHA!
Texas Alpha will be celebrating our chapter's
120th anniversary the "weekend" of February
16-18, 2024. The weekend is anchored by our
Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Saturday
evening, February 17, in the Touchdown Club
within the North End Zone of DKR–Texas
Memorial Stadium.
Please follow our dedicated event calendar at phipsitexas.
com/calendar-of-events for additional info about the
weekend; we'll be planning other events at the chapter
house, potentially including a basketball game (subject to
scheduling). For Saturday morning, golf and/or sporting
clay shooting are being considered. We encourage you,
as alumni, to arrange your own era gatherings on Friday
night, February 16, at locations of your choosing.
We expect high turnout for this event and will be sending
