Our Social Media Website | www.phipsitexas.com Facebook | Phi Kappa Psi – Texas Alpha X (formerly Twitter) | @PKPTexas Instagram | @phipsitexas Entering the summer, the rush team understood that Phi Psi needed a successful fall rush cycle, both in quality and quantity. Our prior strategies weren't working; we knew we had to reshape the rush process. This involved adding separate departments to the semi- organized, multifaceted, location-based model that was already in place. Different departments included lead generation, accountability, communication and outreach, event planning and preparation. It also involved an extreme focus on retention, through which we redefined what it meant to accept a bid at Texas Alpha. It is now a full commitment to pledge Phi Psi and assist in rush operations, not just reserving a spot in the New Member Class. Retention also required weekly communication to all "signed" rushees from the head rush captain, ensuring their commitment to Phi Psi. Finally, the process involved daily and weekly number-oriented goals on an individual, city and team level. The team rarely focused on the end goal, but rather on the tasks at hand, trusting that those tasks would push us closer to our goal. And day by day, week by week, the team edged closer to success, resulting in the fall 2023 rush class on page 6. Amici, Richie Raclaw '21 Rush Chairman Texas Alpha - Phi Kappa Psi P.O.
