Delta Chi at Kansas State University | Delta Chi at Kansas State University | Fall 2023 Fall 2023 T H E S C I M I TA R T H E S C I M I TA R I am thrilled to share that this fall, our chapter recruited a record 31 brothers into our associate member class—our largest class since 1992! This is a massive accomplishment that took the support of the entire chapter. We held recruitment training before school started, setting the expectation that active members and new members would bring friends to events. We met freshman at the campus activities fair and held large recruitment events, resulting in a strong pool of potential new members. MORO MAKING AN IMPACT One of the main reasons we were able to recruit this class was our new space at 801 Moro Street. This allowed for a back-to-school barbecue with a knockout tournament on our newly painted court, hosting freshman inside for a game night, and just being able to show off the property. Delta Chi has the newest and nicest housing on campus. When we give tours, the space speaks for itself. No other fraternity can offer private bedrooms, kitchens with granite countertops, and the space that we have. ALL ABOUT ACADEMICS This spring, we finished the semester third out of 21 fraternities with a 3.49 GPA. For 10 straight semesters, dating back to the fall of 2017, our brothers have achieved a higher GPA than IFC and the university. If you join Delta Chi, you are almost guaranteed to have more academic success than most students on campus. BEACH BASH VOLLEYBALL The second week of school, we partnered with FIJI to host a new member sand volleyball tournament for sororities on campus. All 13 sororities attended with over 350 women showing up to play or support their sisters. For two hours, our brothers served as referees and coaches, cheering on their teams and having a blast meeting their new members. We raised more than $850 for charities and created a new tradition that sororities can look forward to every fall when returning to campus. Over the last decade, we've been extremely successful. We have set records with awards, grades, involvement, and now recruitment. Just when you thought things couldn't get any better for Delta Chi at K-State, they do. It's great to be a Delta Chi and it's great to have you as our brothers. If you're in town, let us know. Be on the lookout for our alumni events in 2024!
