GAMMA PHI BETA 3 W e are off to another successful year at the 808 with a new class of 77 women! We are maintaining a strong momentum after finally being able to celebrate our 100th anniversary on the University of Missouri campus in spring 2022—one year late due to COVID-19. And boy, did we celebrate everything Alpha Delta! Life is now pretty much back to normal, and we're excited to focus on the future while remembering the past. Thank you to all who have remained True and Constant to Alpha Delta Chapter with your support, whether it is monetarily, physically, or through good wishes, vibes, and juju. It is appreciated more than you know. I would like for you to consider remembering Alpha Delta annually in some way of giving. For the chapter to remain viable on campus, there are always needs that cannot be handled with just house bills and building funds for those attending the chapter at the time. Our Alpha Delta anniversary is May 20, and that would be a great time for you to make a donation to the house. (It's never too late or too early to give!) Consider donating an annual giving amount to the chapter that served you and the strong woman you are today. Whether it's $19.21, $192.10, $1,921, or any other amount, all our funds help build for the future and maintain our beautiful home. With that said, we have experienced some continued issues with our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC) system that was installed in 2011 as a part of a capital campaign. We tried to save money by reusing the HVAC system that was installed just eight years before the major renovation in 2018-19. Well, as with any technology, there is always a new-and- improved system coming out and old systems become obsolete. We currently have Daikin systems, and they need constant repair. We spent about $86,000 in repairs this year alone. We have seriously investigated our options and determined our best choice is to go with a Mitsubishi system. We have five zones throughout the house; the two in the new addition are working fine. The other three zones need replacement. We addressed the most crucial, Zone 3, this summer, and the materials we claimed from that system will help the other two zones maintain for a while longer. We are looking at a grand total of $785,000, with the first Zone costing $285,000. Zone 3 is the most critical currently. Thankfully, a bonus feature of this new system is that it can be connected to the internet so the service company can connect and troubleshoot or send the appropriate tools and personnel to repair as needed. Any amount you set for your annual giving to Alpha Delta would help with the replacement of the HVAC system in the chapter house. These systems are not cheap, so we need your help! To ensure a bright future for Alpha Delta, we ask that you make an annual gift to the sisterhood in any amount.
