T H E L Y R E L E T T E R | P A G E 2 F or all of 2023, Xi Chapter's mission has been to hold one another to a high standard—with our grades being a top priority. We are proud to report that this has paid off in the spring semester with a chapter GPA of 3.5! Twenty-five sisters had a semester GPA of 4.0 as well. I'd also like to congratulate our scholarship winners for 2023: Frannie Hutchings '20 won the Xi Scholarship and Niki Cundiff '20 received the Folsum Memorial Scholarship. Meanwhile, a few sisters had the privilege of studying abroad this year: Abby Brady '20 was in France for the spring, and twins Allison '20 and Avery Kalvoda '20 were in London over the summer! Spring 2023 was also a strong semester for philanthropy. Xi Chapter partnered with Sigma Chi for their famous "Pie a Chi" event with volunteers paying to pie volunteers in the face. We held two more events this spring: "Let's Talk Love" and an online fundraiser for Willy's Underwear Project. By the end of the semester, Xi raised $30,000 for Friendship Home of Lincoln, a local shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Several of the photos you'll see in this fall newsletter were taken by our own Chloe Libentritt '22, a sophomore who runs her own small photography business! Chloe took all our chapter's photos during a busy but successful Work Week and recruitment week. Our fall semester is off to a great start after a thrilling Bid Day. We can't wait to make more great memories in the school year to come!
