Get set to witness history in the
making as Ichi Kaku restaurant
will crown Fayetteville's first Ra-
men Eating Champion.
e First Annual Ichi Kaku Ra-
men Eating Contest will be held
on Aug. 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Ichi
Kaku, located at 350 N Eastern
Blvd #200.
Guests will witness five com-
petitors fight their appetites' while
trying to devour a 20-pound bowl
of ramen. e ramen eating com-
petition is a free event.
e winning prize is a $300 Ichi
Kaku gift card, a trophy, and the
title of Ramen Eating Champion
of 2023.

Ramen is a dish that is famous
all over the world. Ramen is a
Japanese noodle soup that comes
in various variations. A tradition-
ally made bowl of ramen consists
of flavorful broth, wheat noodles,
and toppings that vary from re-

Head Chef Yohei Kamiya, the
owner of Ichi Kaku, is from Taka-
hama City, Japan.

Yohei Kamiya has worked in the
