It's been a while since we sent out a Glazebrook Gazette, but I'm excited to start up the alumni newsletter once again. SHOUTOUT TO OUR VOLUNTEERS There's been a lot of changes to Beta Iota over the past 12 months, the most notable being Chris Johnson '04 stepping down from his role as chairman of the Board of Trustees. Chris, thank you for your service over the past decade. You've done a yeoman's work heading up the BOT, and we're all looking forward to tracking the success of your company, Momnt. (See our interview with Chris on page 2 for more details!) We are constantly looking to add volunteers to the BOT; currently, we are searching for a volunteer to fill the role of treasurer. If you have relevant skills and experience you'd like to offer for any role, please send an email to bot.gtato@gmail.com to express your interest. LET US INTRODUCE YOU One of our recent goals was to refresh our communications strategy, which required a review of our vendor. After a competitive bidding process, we have selected Pennington & Company as our new communications, fundraising, and marketing firm. Pennington has a long history of success in the fraternity and sorority world and works closely with several notable ATΩ chapters. Moving forward, you can expect newsletters in the fall and spring, a biographical update form, a new website (coming soon), and periodic email blasts. We are confident that Pennington will be able to help us to improve our chapter's visibility and reach. TIME TO REFRESH THE HOUSE We are also extremely excited to share that we are in the process of renovating the chapter house! The BOT and the chapter leadership are working closely with Richmond Property Group to ensure that our chapter's needs are met. The chapter is thrilled with the changes, and we have some big plans for the next several years. See before/after photos on page 3! WHAT'S NEXT? We are working closely with the chapter to schedule alumni events for later this year. We have several ideas in the works, and we'll be sure to keep you updated as plans develop. Thank you for your continued support of Beta Iota Chapter. Until next time, Andrew Jacon '15 Chairman of the Board of Trustees bot.gtato@gmail.com The Glazebook Gazette Is Back!
