Learn about NC agriculture from native American times to the modern day. Try a few farm tasks that kids used to do, and sample some homegrown goods. This event is open for all ages, but there is a $2 fee per partici- pant. You can adjust the volume and choose between up to three DJs with a flip of a switch. Each headset has a color (blue, red, green) LED that shows what channel you are listening to, so you can dance along with those listening to the same DJ. MUSICAL PETTING ZOO THROCKMORTON LIBRARY 12 p.m. The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra is helping everyone find their musical voice for the Summer Reading Program. They will play great music and then show kids how to use the instruments. You will have a chance to make some beautiful music. Don't miss this hands-on opportunity to learn more about musical instruments and how they are played. Whether you run a business of your own, you are looking to start one, or you work for a business and are looking for some new strategies and feedback from others, this is your spot. They discuss issues you may be having as well as celebrate the wins. At this particular meeting, Wo- men's Business Center/CEED Executive Director, Suzy Hrabovsky, will be coming to share their resources with everyone in attendance. 3 p.m. MONDAY, JULY 17 SATURDAY, JULY 15 HISTORY HIKE CARVERS CREEK STATE PARK 6:30 p.m. Join Carvers Creek State Park Rangers as you walk and explore the millpond, silos, pavilion and other historical farm buildings not yet open to the public. Bring a bottle of water, a camera (if you like taking pictures), and your walking shoes. Registration is required. This is a fun-filled, family-fri- endly show for all ages. Dinner is served family style and will consist of salad, chicken, a starch, vegetables, and de- ssert.
