It has been a three-year absence for this wonderful opportunity for our youth. There is no cost, as our local Red Kettle Campaign funds are ap- plied for these sponsorships. Discovery Campers will enjoy such activities as climbing tower, archery, group games, cabin life, arts and crafts, and fun evening programs. They will meet new friends, experience nature, and challenge themselves. The appli- cation registration process will need to be completed online, and I can help with that process. Registration is open NOW!!!. Call with any questions and we can work through the process together. Discovery Camp dates are July 3 to 7, 2023. I have also asked for two slots be held for July 15-22 for Quartzsite youth, ages 8-16, with a strong in- terest in Music. What an opportu- nity. Please look at our Facebook page for a link to see what camp looks like from our Territorial Di- rector. A beautiful story. Volunteer Carole has been extra busy organizing, cleaning, and pricing shoes. Our shoe racks for full of a nice variety and priced to sell. Remember our shoes, slippers, boots, etc. are or- ganized and labeled by size. We want to extend a big thank-you to shopper Lee, who brought in a large stack of flattened shopping bags for us. Really makes clerk Holly happy. It is getting to be summertime temperatures in Quartzsite. During these hot temperatures and high hu- midity, we are/will be experiencing, we will offer a bottle of water with an electrolyte packet attached on our over 100-degree days. We also will have Heat Relief Packets with items that were purchased from a grant we received for Quartzsite and Ehrenberg first responders and our in-need residents provided by Arizona Public Service APS. Please take care of each other and PLEASE check on your neighbors as well. Don't forget our free adult and child diaper assistance program we have available. This is a monthly program with a simple sign-up pro- cedure. Please ask. We also have a large assortment of medical devices that are available on a loan-out basis with a refund- able deposit. Please ask. We continue to have free shoes, socks, and miscellaneous items out front of the store and a free clothing rack and food available inside each day. Sometimes these are one day specials. Come and see what we have for you. We continue to recycle prescription eyeglasses, old prescription medi- cation, and ink cartridges. Drop off anytime we are open. Thanks. Awesome volunteer Sandee has been extra busy with our picture and frame department. Shelves are loaded with cool pictures, frames, and mirrors, too. Come see her de- lightful arrangement of art works. We are now on our Summer Hours. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thurs- day, 8AM to Noon. Urgent needs always with a phone call. Donations when open or with other arrange- ments. PLEASE DO NOT leave items after hours. Help request! Do you have a music interest and would like to organize our music CD's? They need catego- rization by genre. Like to work outside??? Our park- ing lot timbers need resetting. I do have some heavy flat hose that could be staked to delineate parking slots. If anyone knows where we can get railroad rails or timbers, please let me know. If interested, please come see me or call. Thanks. Please understand that our build- ing has no windows, no air exchange ventilation, our aisles are tight, and we have many senior volunteers with health concerns, so we will con- tinue to require a face covering, for both us and our amazing shoppers. We appreciate your understanding. "A person is the product of their dreams.
