Experience the majestic sound of the 82nd Airborne Band and Chorus' Woodwind Quintet performing with vocalists. Brass fans be sure to check out their July 26th Summer Reading Finale concert with brass and vocalists. All ages are encouraged to participate by regi- stering and recording minutes spent reading from June 1 to July 31. SATURDAY, JUNE 10 FAMILY & FRIENDS PAINT PARTY THE BLACK CANVAS 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Inspired by the scholastic book fairs of our childhood, the ABC Fair is an opportunity to enjoy the art, books, and crafts we now create as adults. With something for everyone in the family, have fun together with various activities and support your local creators. There will be face paint- ing, a bounce house, a 360 photo booth, music, shopping and trivia. Enjoy your summer Saturday with something for everyone at the family-friendly Arts, Books, and Crafts Fair! For more information email fulfillityllc@gmail.com. 6 p.m. You will be learning the basics of canoe- ing and then trying out our new skills by maneuvering through the cypress swamp. This is a slow and calm paddling ex- perience and great for beginners or for those who want to get a closer look at the cypress trees. Registration is required. Participants must be at least 8 years old to participate. Meet at the rain shelter. Please allow approximately 15 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the rain shelter. NATURE STORY TIME CLARK PARK 2 p.m. You and your child are invited to Clark Park for an interactive story time with the Cumberland County Public Library. The story will be followed by themed crafts and activities. The theme for this month is Turtles. This free event is perfect for kids six years old and younger, with an ac- companying adult. TUESDAY, JUNE 13 THURSDAY, JUNE 8 BUBBLE SCIENCE CAPE FEAR BOTANICAL GARDEN 10 a.m. Join a Fascinate-U Children's Museum science educator as you experiment with bubbles at the Garden! You will explore different types of bubble wands to determi- ne which is the best. Then, get ready to step inside a giant bubble, or try your luck at putting your arm through our bubble wall! All ages are welcome. This event is included with Garden membership or admission. 11 a.m. SUNDAY, JUNE 11 SATURDAY, JUNE 10 PONDAMANIA CAPE FEAR BOTANICAL GARDEN 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Kids are taking over the Garden! Pondamania - A Children's Art Explosi- on will celebrate 5 years of combining art with nature. Pondamania is a day filled with a wide variety of art activities, including visual arts, dancing, Juicebox Derby Racing, garden exploration, animals, workshops, pond dipping, food, and fun. Come dressed for play, paint & dirt. This is a HANDS-ON Experience! Kids 10 & under admitted free. Tickets are $15 for non-members and $10 for members. Admission includes all crafts, demonstrations, workshops, and other fun. Tickets can be bought at the door. ARTS, BOOKS, AND CRAFTS FAIR CROWN EXPO CENTER 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. Family & Friends sessions are an hour of fun and creating art using different tools. This event is an experience like no other in Fayetteville. You get to choose between different templates and art styles while enjoying the music and lights. Sessions are interactive for Kids and Parents and will include complimentary water, juice or soda. You get to choose which art sta- tion (technique) you would like to explore. All ages are welcome. SUNDAY, JUNE 11 FRIDAY, JUNE 9 SUMMER AFTER HOURS 405 HAY STREET 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. Summer After Hours Club Nights is ha- ppening in downtown Fayetteville every Friday and Saturday night for the summer. Housed in the local craft bar and eatery Huske Hardware Restaurant, Huske After Hours is situated in the over 100-year-old building in historic downtown Fayetteville. Rustic and relaxed, Huske After Hours hosts a rotating array of DJs and artists playing the top trending global music! Huske After Hours is 21+ only. Dress code is club attire only.
