In this day camp, we will show you the popular tackle and rigging techniques for common fishing situations. You will also learn about the methods of collecting and keeping live bait. SATURDAY, JUNE 3 BOUGIE BAGS & BRUNCH 328 GILLESPIE STREET 7 p.m. The Detour Slam Team from Fayetteville and the Bull City Slam Team from Durham will be having a friendly scrimmage as they prepare themselves for competition at this June's Southern Fried Poetry Festival. Come out and come see both teams as they premiere new poems and battle it out to see who will win this event. Price of admission is $10 with all proceeds going to both teams as they prepare to head to Knoxville, Tennessee to compete at the Southern Fried Poetry Festival in June. 11 a.m. — 3 p.m. Harry Potter fans! Join WOB Bar & Kitchen for a magical weekend at their Pancakes and Potterheads themed brunch. They will be featuring Dudley's Donuts, Hagrids Gamekeepers Pie, and some Sirus-ly good beverages This brunch will be first come first served both days. No reservations required. WALKING THROUGH TIME FAYETTEVILLE HISTORY MUSEUM 2 p.m. This walking tour of Downtown Fayetteville is hosted by the Downtown Alliance. It explores the history of Fayetteville from pre-colonial settlement to present day. You will learn of the history, culture and architecture of the buildings along the tour path in Historic Downtown. The past meets the present as you are introduced to six to eight shops and restaurants where you will enjoy samples of food, drink and goods from these unique busi- nesses. The tour covers under approximately 3/4 mile ending on Hay Street. All participants should meet at the Front Door of the Fayetteville History Museum located at 325 Franklin Street. For info call 910-433-1457. TUESDAY, JUNE 6 THURSDAY, JUNE 1 ANIMAL BABIES LAKE RIM PARK 10 a.m. All animals must produce young so that their species can survive. Young animals come in all shapes and sizes and have dif- ferent adaptations to help them survive. Learn about which hatch from eggs, come from a litter, live on their own, or need help from their folks. Make a craft after- wards. This event is for those 6 and under. An adult must be present. There will be a cake bake contest, arts and crafts ven- dors, stage performances, a classic car show, an antique tractor show, games and prizes.
