2 THE IRIS Celebrating Mom's Day O ur Mom's Day event held in mid- February was an absolute blast and left a heartwarming impression on all who attended. It was delightful to see the moms and their sons come together to celebrate and strengthen their bond and learn more about our brotherhood. The event's highlight was the canvas painting session, where moms and their sons unleashed their creativity, producing vibrant and memorable masterpieces side-by-side. The seniors and their moms had a fantastic time bonding over a friendly game of bowling, which added a lively touch to the already exhilarating event. If I hadn't joined the fraternity, I am sure I would not be a lawyer today." Logan also credits Ryan Williams '14 for aiding in his professional development. "I followed in his footsteps. From academic chairman to president to, eventually, law school. He set standards high, and I constantly pushed myself to meet them. "Looking back, I gained a lot of invaluable experience and skills that helped me get to where I am today. During those two years, and with the help of many others, we brought in many chapter awards. To this day, I am still proud of all those accomplishments and am so thankful for the chapter and the people I've met." Logan is currently enjoying life in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He spends his time golfing, kayaking, working out, reading, and hanging out with friends. If you'd like to connect with Logan, you can send him an email at lcstevens5@gmail.com. (Continued from page 1) A big thank-you to all the Delt mothers who came to paint and celebrate Mom's Day 2023! What's a meaningful memory from your days in the Shelter? "My first semester, a few other newly initiated members and I went shopping for a Christmas tree. We determined it would make for a better story if we cut it down ourselves. So instead of buying one, we bought a handsaw and cut down a tree near Scheumann Stadium. We ended up getting caught red-handed in front of the Delt house and were rightfully suspended from the fraternity (and graciously allowed back the following semester). The story made its way around campus and the rest of the state of Indiana. My grandpa called me Paul Bunyan from that day forward, and the rest of my family continues to joke about hiding the tree from me at Christmas."
