"The women in this chapter push me to be my best self and surround me with unconditional love," Stacey Greenup '20 shared. Our members are engaged in countless organizations around campus, including the Honors College, Education Abroad, Club Sports, and many more organizations. Campus involvement is an important aspect of being a part of Kappa Kappa Gamma because it creates opportunities for self-growth. Olivia Sanderson '20 spent the semester studying abroad in Paris, France. "Even being far from Kappa physically, my sisters have continued to support and love me while I take advantage of this amazing opportunity," she shared. Many of our members are recognized for their hard work on campus. Some sisters we are proud of include Sophia Monteleone '19, who had the chance to work the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in March, and Emma Simms '22, who made the top 15 of the 2023 Miss Kentucky USA competition. The recognition doesn't stop there! Our members remain committed to their academics; 39 members made the Dean's List this year and 59 achieved a 4.0. We are proud to not only promote intellectual development but philanthropic involvement as well. During Kappa Kindness Week, we held fundraisers like our March Madness tournament and social media bingo. We also spent time writing encouraging letters to the children's hospital and made helpful supplies bags for homeless shelters. As a sisterhood, we were able to raise over $10,000 for the Kentucky Center for Grieving Children and Families, The JED Foundation, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Kappa's philanthropies are just a few that our members support. In March, some of our members participated in DanceBlue, which is a non-profit organization that holds a 24-hour dance marathon every year that many campus organizations take part in. "DanceBlue changes so many lives," Bonnie Beth Olsen '22 said. "Getting to see over 700 students come together and support the clinic kids and families is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!" While another Kappa chapter has closed as we end the school year and head into summer, we look forward to the fall and more chances to achieve great things and grow as a sorority at the University of Kentucky. Loyally, Addie Ulku '20 Chapter President
