BLUE AND BLUE
Ruth Gildart Lewis '45 lives in a
retirement community called Seven
Oaks in San Diego, Calif., and
is staying home most of the time
because of COVID-19. She is a
member of the Colonial Dames and
of her church, St. Bartholomew's.
Her children are scattered—one is in
Australia, one is in Louisville, one is
in Flagstaff, and one lives nearby and
helps Ruth, who recently turned 97.
E. Jane Michler '47 is 94 and lives
in a retirement facility in Lexington,
Ky. She sees a few of her sorority
sisters, and her closest Kappa friend
is Martha Bishop Kessinger '48.
She also visited the new KKG house
when it was first built.

Mary Louise Blakemore Beard '52
turned 90 years old on March 31.
She lives in Greer, S.C., and her four
children and three grandchildren also
reside in South Carolina.

Laura Glenn Dickey '55 loves her
life, which is filled with a wonderful
family, old friends, new friends, fun,
and new interests and challenges.
"I still have a burning desire to
travel to Italy and to walk any beach

Bobbie Kasson Lencke '58
enjoys traveling, participating in
church activities, enjoying her six
grandchildren, and reading. She lives

Randy moved to Kisco Senior
Living Community at the Cardinal in
Raleigh, N.C. "We love it!"
Linda Pope McCullough '67 is a
retired special education teacher and
serves as an advocate for students
and their families to ensure proper
programs for special education
students. Linda travels a lot to see her
Kappa friends all over the country.
She lives in Franktown, Colo.

Nancye Snyder Claypool '73 is
happily retired. She has three children
and six grandchildren who live on
the east coast, west coast, and in the
Midwest. She loves traveling to visit
them. Nancye is also president of the
Louisville Miniature Club, where she
makes dollhouses and tiny things.

Becky Jackson Edwins '78 shares
that, in May 2022, she spoke at the
National Novartis Convention in
Orlando, Fla., about her experiences
taking one of the Multiple Sclerosis
drugs, Mayzent. She was on a panel
with three other women from across
the nation. She resides in Lexington,

Paula Scheaf White '83 started her
own facilitation and collaboration
coach for leadership. She wrote a
book in 2022 called Side B: Remix

Shay Wright Wyckoff '89 lives in
Crested Butte, Colo., with her family.
She owns a property management
company and hopes to semi-retire
soon. To this day, her Kappa friends
are still her best friends.

Amy Ramsey '89 is a tenured
professor at the University of Toronto
School of Pharmacy. She obtained
her Ph.D. in genetics at UNC. As a
neuro cell biologist/researcher, she is a
lead researcher for a rare disease. The
foundation is GRIN, and her research
is published under Amy Ramsey.

Bonnie Wathen '02 eloped to Aruba
and got married in April 2023. She lives

cosmetology license. She now works as
