DELT PRESENCE ON CAMPUS reflecting on the school year A s we progress through the new year, we wanted to give an overview of the past year and what to look forward to in 2023. ACADEMICS We had a GPA of 3.25 in fall 2022. This is an acceptable average, but the Delts are looking to improve our academic performance and achieve an even higher GPA in 2023. Our chapter values academics, and our members have been working tirelessly to achieve academic success. PHILANTHROPY Delts have been active in the community with philanthropy events. Gamma Tau hosted Natural Ties twice this school year. During these events, Brothers provided games and entertainment for people with developmental disabilities. Gamma Tau has also done food and clothes drives through Chapters for Charity to help provide goods for those in need in the Lawrence community. ROCK CHALK REVUE Some of our Brothers participated in Rock Chalk Revue this year. Partnered with Chi Omega, Directors Matt LaTendresse '19, Jack Holton '20, and Isaiah Walker '21 worked together to write and produce "One Night in the Naismith." Our chapter took home the Best Video and Best Use of Set awards. On top of that, Matt won Best Male Lead while Jack took home Best Supporting Male. The performance was a great success overall, and the chapter had a great time raising money for a charitable cause. NEW OUTDOOR KITCHEN In the coming year, we look forward to establishing a new outdoor kitchen consisting of a Blackstone grill top and a new Grillmaster grill. This will be a great addition to tailgates and the backyard. CORNHOLE TOURNEY Gamma Tau hosted an alumni cornhole tournament at the Shelter on April 29. The tournament was organized in a March Madness-style bracket. We appreciate everyone who made the trip back to the Shelter for some fraternal competition! RECRUITMENT RECOMMENDATIONS If you have any recruitment referrals to make for the upcoming year, please contact Justin Hicks '21 or Quinn Heather '22 with names, contact information, and any other details regarding the student. We look forward to our Brotherhood's continued growth and would appreciate your help in making that happen. Fraternally, The Men of Gamma Tau
