John Hughes '52 lives in Lawrence, Kan. He
runs estate sales and manages a farm northeast

Don Gardner, D.D.S. '57 is a retired dentist
living in Littleton, Colo. Don enjoys spending
time with his wife, two daughters, and four
grandchildren. He is still playing golf, hunting,

David Rankin '59 is a retired educator in
Vancouver, Wash. He has been inducted into
five halls of fame and was a head starter as
a KU track and field athlete for the 1984
and 1996 Olympic Games. David is a proud
Jayhawk alumnus and is glad to keep tabs on
five Gamma Tau Brothers, as well as heading to
Arizona every winter. David has five grandsons.

Steve Letts '69 has been married to Carolyn
VanderVelde Letts, a KU Tri Delta, for 53 years.
Steve is the director of investor relations for
Resort Lifestyle Communities. He resides in

from 1959-62. Kept the costume at the Shelter
during that time. Brothers helped load it in my
car every game day."
