(Spon- sored by Desert Messenger News) COMMUNITY SURVEY Andrew Powell informed the Coun- cil on Tuesday, April 11. He said, "Once all the data is in, it will be cal- culated precisely. Results exceeded the 5% of the permanent residents the town has expected." They had over 200 residents fi ll the survey. There are some demographics they were lacking. The age group of 45 and under was a challenge. This is the demographic that is working and raising families, so propably did not have the time to fi ll the survey. The other demographic that did not go so well is the non-resident local workers. The silver lining is we have permanent residents. Everything is shaping up nicely. The online sur- vey closed Friday….. "I will still be taking paper surveys until next Tuesday and we will start the data analysis after that. We should have presentable results in May." CHAMBER MEETING The Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism would like to invite any interested businesses, vendors, or individuals to our an- nual general meeting April 27th at 6:30 PM to be held at the recre- ation hall at 88 Shades RV Park. Agenda at the meeting will include discussion on topics related to do- ing business in Quartzsite and how the local chamber can help you as a business.
