G ROW I N G I N N U M B E R S Seven New Brothers Added Following Spring Recruitment Seven New Brothers Added Following Spring Recruitment Our brotherhood gained seven new Brothers following the completion of spring recruitment and Preparation for Brotherhood. Adam Dickinson '25, Andrew Hahs '25, Ben Preheim '25, Andrew Cooper '26, David Crow '26, Thomas Hart '26, and Tate McDaniel '26 all completed the necessary steps to be voted into the Chapter in early March. These new Brothers bring our total to 31. "I chose Sigma Chi because of the Brotherhood and values that are instilled in this fraternity," said Tate McDaniel. BECOMING BROTHERS The pledges had to complete a five-week online module and discussion-based course to be welcomed into the Chapter. Throughout the process, they learned about the pillars of Sigma Chi, the seven founders, and the seven values. They were helped through this process by their Magister, Nathan Fields '25. "The Preparation for Brotherhood process is made very easy as Magister when your pledge class is eager to learn about the fraternity and what it truly means to be a Brother of Sigma Chi," said Fields. "Facilitating discussions with this group was great, as these men loved talking about Sigma Chi's values and how they play a role in their everyday lives. Their curiosity and dedication from day one impressed me greatly, and I couldn't be more thankful for their enthusiasm to prove they have what it takes to join our order." Though the process is long and much work is needed on the pledge's side, they were happy to complete it. "Preparation for Brotherhood was a time that reassured me of my decision to become a Brother," Tate added. "I am glad to have been through the learning process." GROWTH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The Chapter room continues to grow with the new members, and the Brothers are excited to continue adding new initiates. "Having the new initiates at Chapter is extremely gratifying, especially with many of them accepting nominations to run for positions on our executive board in their first Chapter meeting," said Nathan Fields. "The classroom we run Chapter out of continues to fill every few months, and the new faces provide new perspectives and experiences that enrich our growing Brotherhood." Work has already begun to ensure a successful fall recruitment by Recruitment Chairman Canon Dew '26. Our active Brothers are proud to raise the Sigma Chi flag.
