FOLLOW INDIANA GAMMA ON INSTAGRAM Brothers, Alumni involvement is a crucial component of a successful chapter for any fraternity. Studies have shown that the best fraternity chapters have significant alumni involvement, and Indiana Gamma is no different. Unfortunately, some alumni choose not to get involved because they think that others will; some also choose not to get involved because they don't live in or near Bloomington. The reality is that neither are good reasons. Our young brothers at Indiana Gamma are 18- to 22-year-olds, and at that age range, they need guidance as they begin their career paths. The intent is not to get in their way, but to be the "adult in the room" when need be. Despite our successes, we need more volunteers from our alumni base. Whether you live in Central Indiana or across the country, there is a role for you. Nicholas Carder '12 Patrick Fagan '14 A SPECIAL INDIANA GAMMA ALUMNI COOKOUT Great event held in August 2022—plan to attend in summer 2023 O n August 13, 2022, an Indiana Gamma Alumni Cookout was hosted by Kevin and Wendy Davey, parents of active ΣAE brother Andrew Davey '25. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments were served to those who attended. Huge shoutout to Alumni Association President Pete Dunbar '85 and Bike Coach Bill Naas '94, as well as all alumni who attended, for making an appearance, and speaking to all the active brothers, in attendance. We hope to make this an annual tradition over the summers to come and continue growing our relationship with our alumni. Special thank you to Brother Andrew and his parents Kevin and Wendy Davey for the hospitality. It was a very nice informal event that should continue to grow each year.
