WALK AWHILE IN HER SHOES SEGRA STADIUM WALK AWHILE is a family-friendly walkin which men are asked to wear high-heeled shoes to show their sup- port for women throughout the com- munity. Onsite registration begins in front of Capital Building downtown Fayetteville at 6 p.m. and the walk starts at 7 p.m. and will go to Segra Stadium. Registration is only $25 for walkers. Students can register for a discounted rate of $15. Businesses are encouraged to raise donations by having male supervisors agree to walk if employees can raise enough money. Why is this event necessary? The number of rapes and sexual as- saults in our community are continually growing, and volunteer and finan- cial resources are strained to combat the problem. Meet museum staff on Cool Spring Street and learn about the excavation that took place in 1983. Its findings and what is known about the early colo- nial and Scottish history of Cool Spring Street. Alejandro Arroyo owns the newest (and cleanest) lounge in New York City's Lower East Side. His sister, Molly, has a nasty habit of writing graffiti on the back wall of the local police precinct. Officer Derek is a recent NYC transplant with something to prove. Lelly Santiago is a socially awkward college student who may have discovered that the Arroyo siblings' late mother was one of the founders of hip-hop music. Two DJs/narrators spin the story in this hilariously heartfelt piece. This play is rated PG-13 for adult language and themes.
