F or more than 175 years, an important part of The University of Alabama has been the exceptional group of men brought together by fate and bound together by brotherhood. From our original founding in 1847 as the first fraternity chartered at Alabama, more than 1,500 brothers have enriched our history. Our Fraternity has influenced the lives of numerous men and cultivated lasting friendships and experiences. As alumni, we can trace many of our best memories back to Alabama and our Fraternity experience. Delta Kappa Epsilon plays a significant role in the personal and professional development of its members. Our alumni have distinguished themselves as leaders in their professions and communities. Much of this success is due to the lessons we learned outside the classroom in fraternity meetings and activities. The early training we received at DKE, including leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills, teamwork, and character—only the beginning of a long list of traits gained through our fraternity—has made us the men we are today. While there may be some differences in today's chapter compared to the one you knew, there is an unbroken chain of DKEs, and it's our responsibility to take that history and what we've learned and look to our future. In 2007, our brothers accepted the challenge of building a new home for Psi. We were the beginning of a housing revolution in Tuscaloosa. Fifteen years later, the growth of our chapter has presented the House Corporation with a need that we must address again. The following pages detail the steps needed to renovate and expand our chapter house at Alabama. Our chapter's past is secure and our present is thriving, but our future depends on our vigilance in supporting this effort. "I cannot express enough how much Psi Chapter has meant to me throughout my college career, including the relationships I've formed and experiences I've shared with such an outstanding group of individuals from all over the country. I especially value the longstanding traditions and values that we hold here at the DKE house, and I believe that the current members in this house will do nothing but continue to uphold these high standards." –Tim Favrot '24 DELTA KAPPA EPSILON • PSI CHAPTER PAGE 2 175 YEARS OF PSI
