SATURDAY, JANUARY 21 LINE DANCING HUGGER MUGGER BREWING 7:30 p.m. Dan Forrest's "Jubilate Deo" exemplifies the Psalm 100 text, "O be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands," by including move- ments in seven different languages and drawing from various musical influ- ences. Experience different musical cultures as the Fayetteville Symphony and voices from First Presbyterian Church take you on a joyous and worldly journey with Dan Forrest's beloved Jubilate Deo. DJ Wolf will be on-site playing a mixed groove to vibe to as you paint. You choose your template, created by the Black Canvas artists, or you can try to do some freestyle painting. No skills are needed; just be ready for the vibe! Tickets are $25 prior to the event and $30 at the door. SHERRILL ROLAND TONY RAND STUDENT CENTER FTCC CAMPUS 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. FTCC Fine Arts is honored to welcome Sherrill Roland to campus as a part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series. Roland, a Durham-based artist, received his BFA in design and MFA in studio art from UNC Greensboro. Since 2016, he's been run- ning "The Jumpsuit Project," a performance piece that grew out of the 10 months he spent in state prison on a wrongful conviction in 2013 while in graduate school. After being released, Roland continued to wear the orange jumpsuit for the dura- tion of his MFA, challenging the stigmas and prejudice of the incarcerated. In 2015, he was exonerated; he has since continued to raise awareness of social is- sues surrounding mass incarceration with his art. The lecture is in the Tony Rand Student Center Multipurpose Room and is free and open to the public. TUESDAY, JANUARY 24 THURSDAY, JANUARY 19 HUMAN TRAFFICKING FORUM KIWANIS RECREATION CENTER 6:30 p.m. The Child Advocacy Center will have four panelists joining them who come from different professional backgrounds to help bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking in our community. There will be a time during the evening that questions can be submitted to be considered for the panelists to answer. Different agencies who assist trafficked victims will be in attendance with resources. 6 p.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 23 SATURDAY, JANUARY 21 COMBAT CROSS COUNTRY FORT BRAGG 7 a.m. An 11-mile ruck, with a minimum of 35 pounds to be carried in the rucksack. This rucking competition could give individuals a chance to go to the Bataan Memorial Death March as the Fort Bragg team. This ruck, which is open to active duty servicemembers only, will be handing out both team and individual awards for both men and women. Competitors are required to compete in OCPs or equivalent as well as Army regulation combat boots. The cost to join is $30, and the registration deadline is Jan. 20. To register visit www.bragg.armymwr.com/ JUBILATE DEO CONCERT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Dust off your boots, grab your hat, and shine your belt buckles - it's time for line dancing at Hugger Mugger. No experience is required. Enjoy the music and atmosphere and have a tasty craft beer to cool down with. They will have 18 rotating beers on tap. They will also carry draft ciders, white and red wine, and a unique assortment of bottled soft drinks. Tickets are $12 and include a beverage of choice. Tickets are cash only at the Brewery.
