Former Quartzsite Vice Mayor Barbara Cowell, age 70, of Quartzsite, Arizona passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. Cowell was a long- time Quartzsite resident and realtor with Arizona Westcoast Realty. Cowell was fi rst elected to the Quartzsite Town Council in September 2009 and served until June 2012. Our hearts go out all her family and friends during this diffi cult time. Do you like History? The Quartzsite Historical Society will be going on a fi eld trip to Bouse on December 21, 2022. Leav- ing at 9:00a.m. from the OHV staging area near courthouse and will visit WWII relics, the fi sher- man Intaglio and Quinn Pass spring on the way to Bouse where we will tour the Bouse Museum. Please stop by and visit the museum decorated for the holidays. February 25,2023 is the date for The Walk in the Past. This educational event takes place at the quartzite cemetery and is a fun way to learn some of the history of early Quartzsite pioneers. The Second Annual Senior Prom at the Senior Center, a fundraiser for Tysons well Stage Sta- tion Museum will take place in March 2023. This event is a night of dancing, music a 50/50 raffl e, a Silent Auction and more! Make sure to check the Quartzsite Historical Society for the latest updates on the prom.
