Finkbine Golf Course is a beautiful backdrop to see old friends while making new. Alumni told stories of their days at Iowa while catching up on work and family. G reetings, Brothers. The fall semester has begun, and the "lodge" is full. The year started with our annual Kinnick Brunch and Alumni Reunion, where about a dozen alumni joined in on the festivities over the weekend. The undergraduate executive board joined us for dinner Saturday night, and we had a great time building new bonds with our undergraduate brothers and future leaders! Our goal is to have the Kinnick Scholarship weekend (each year, the weekend before fall classes & undergraduate move in) be an annual alumni event to celebrate Nile Kinnick '38 and all things Iowa Alpha. As you know, our chapter house sees annual wear with about 40 men living in. Each summer, we focus time on completing general repair - this year is no exception. Special focus was put on replacing the ceiling tiles in the lower level and rebuilding all exterior doors for a tight winter fit. The chapter brothers returned this fall and put a nice shine on everything prior to Kinnick Brunch celebration and house tours. As our House Corporation Board continues its care for our home at 363, we would like to begin building an alumni advisory committee to enhance our care and guidance of our chapter members. There are many areas of opportunity as we continue to build on our 155 year legacy. We can accomodate any interest of yours, so please do reach out (phikappapsiiaalpha@gmail.com) if you would like to get involved. I would specifically like to thank Adam Parker '09 (Chapter Advisor), Eric Parker '00, and Michael Penniman '17 for their outstanding commitments leading our chapter advisory efforts. They continue to make our brotherhood develop and excel on campus and in our community. Also, please welcome Eugene Caporale '18 as our new live-in house director (house dad)! Eugene is a graduate student working on his master's in accounting. He lives in the first-floor apartment and has done a terrific job of providing a much-needed older Brother influence in the house. A second alumni event we would like to turn into an annual tradition is Founders Day weekend. Let's plan on for dinner and drinks in honor of William Henry Letterman and Charles PT Moore on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Iowa City. We will invite the Chapter to hang with us as we celebrate the graduating seniors. In the Bond, Mark Easler '86 House Corporation President (515) 205-6212 Staying Active as Alumni HOW WE CAN SUPPORT IOWA ALPHA *Legacy **Kinnick Scholarship Recipient
