Mother Nature can bring us beauty, she can also bring destructive storms. The monsoons this summer were an example of the destruc- tion those storms can bring. Various places in Quartzsite sustained damage including a wagon located at 404 E Main St. This wagon was used in the 1800 's and has seen many storms during its' life, such as the storm that totally wiped out the south side of Main St, Hwy 60 in 1919. The wagon is now in need of restoration due to the damage sustained. The wagon, owned by Richard and Patricia Stanfi ll, was graciously donated to the Quartzsite Historical Society by their daughter Callie M Mock. Relocating the wagon to Tyson's Well Stage Station Museum was accomplished with the help of Chris McK- night of Parker Towing and Storage and John Delpino of Best Auto in Quartzsite. The move was accomplished using 2 large tow trucks from Parker Towing, the motto on their truck says Anything.... Anytime.... Anywhere.... and it certainly seem to apply here. Chris McK- night and John Delpino graciously donated their time and talent to get the job done. Quartzsite Historical members also loaded up a trailer with miscellaneous wheel and wagon parts which will be needed in repairs. We may not know all of this wagons' history, imagine the stories it could tell if able to talk. We would love to hear from anyone who recognizes this wagon and knows some of its history or wag- ons its type and their uses, feel free to share what you know or come see the wagon before repairs begin at the Tysons Well Stage Station Museum. Maggie J Moody, Docent Tysons Well stage Station Museum
