Quartzsite, AZ - The annual Christmas Light Parade sponsored by the Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Town of Quartzsite will be held on December 4th 2021 start- ing at 7 p.m. The theme this year is a "Holly Jolly Christmas" Christmas Light Parade set for Sat. Dec. 3 rd La Paz County had a voter turnout of 49.40% for the November 8th, 2022 General Election. Registered voters: 11,311; with a total of 8,855 Ballots cast. For the two year position, Quartzsite Town Council Member Karey Amon received 470 votes to regain her seat. Challenger Colleen O'Meara received 349 votes. (and 27 unassigned write-ins. 176 undervotes) For the four-year position, Quartzsite Town Council Member Sam Saxton received 465 votes to regain his seat. Challenger Randy Smith received 392 votes. (and 12 unassigned write-ins, 153 undervotes) Quartzsite Town Council latest election results were releases Mon- day afternoon, November 15, 2022. The numbers include all election day, early voting and late early voting/provisional. La Paz County Board of Supervisors will canvass and certify the results on Monday, November 21. Quartzsite Town Council will canvass and certify the election results on Tuesday, November 22. The 2022 Quartzsite Fall Festi- val will feature live music from ABBA L.A., Jade Street Band, and Alaska Dan. The festival will also include food vendors, a beer garden, and a community expo showcasing our nonprofi t orga- nizations and local businesses. This FREE event is a great oppor- tunity for residents and visitors alike to dance, mingle, and enjoy a beautiful fall day in Quartzsite while learning about all of the great resources our Town has to offer. ABBA L.A. is the Los Angeles based tribute band that celebrates the timeless music of ABBA. The band is composed of profes- sional national and international musicians with extensive musi- cal backgrounds and experience. From their diverse musical back- grounds and networking, they found their common love for the intricate and wonderful music of ABBA; and, joined to form ABBA L.A. The band takes pride in of- fering the most authentic ABBA tribute in the industry. Also performing will be Dan Lesperance. "Alaska Dan" began playing music at the age of four in New Mexico. Dan and his guitar are one on stage. Jade Street band will also be on stage, composed of lifelong mu- sicians, who as good friends, found a common bond in playing 60's, 70's, and 80's Rock n'Roll, DooWop, and New Country.
