This summer, I traveled to Greece with my family. I was so grateful for the opportunity to travel abroad, especially given the past few years. I also interned at a patent law firm in the Silicon Valley, which was amazing! Seeing cutting- edge technology patented right before my eyes was a one-of-a-kind experience. I have continued this internship into the fall, and let me tell you—I never get bored! Ella Culleton '21 Hi, I'm Ella Culleton, Chapter GNV and legacy of the Panhellenic community. I knew since birth that I was going to join a sorority. My mom would sing her sorority Greek songs to lull me to sleep. Just ask me to sing the Greek alphabet! Over this summer break, I took a Berkeley class and continued to do data analytics for Red Bull. Some fond memories from this summer include working a festival in SF, working the F1 watch party at a yacht club and, to top things off, I went to Outside Lands with my bestie sisters! Elise Rodriquez '22 Hi, my name's Elise! Over the summer, I worked as a wedding videographer throughout May and June. During July and August, I was a summer camp counselor in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where I spent time training, living in a cabin with my campers and, my favorite, taking them on a five-day backcountry canoeing trip! On this excursion, we paddled through beautiful lakes and rivers and slept in some amazing campsites. I also made time to visit my friends and family, whether it was taking road trips through California to reunite with my Chi O sisters or going to Chicago to visit my older brother. W e had an incredibly successful fall formal recruitment this year, the first in-person recruitment in two years! Recruitment Chairman Elle Ghiloni '19 did a wonderful job ensuring the entire Chapter felt prepared, and this was reflected in our outcomes. Our sisterhood day return rate was 99%, and our philanthropy day return rate was 94%! The best way to get in contact with the recruitment chairman for recommending a potential new member is to submit a RIF through the Chi Omega website at chiomega.com/ recommend-a-woman-for-recruitment. You can also email the recruitment chairman directly at calxorecruitment@gmail.com. Our fall pledge class has 54 members, three of whom are legacies. We are so excited to get to know each and every one of them before and after their initiation on November 3!
