"Being the only NCAA Division III university to offer the PGA Golf Management program creates unique opportunities for Meth- odist University and these three students," said Bob Bruns, director of MU's PGA Golf Management program. "All of these students are unique, but also share a love for golf and a drive to be successful on the course and in the classroom. ey con- tinue to be leaders in many different facets of our teams and within the program from operating the golf shop to excelling in internships to captaining the women's golf team while being great students." Methodist University's PGA Golf Management program has been accredited by the PGA of America since 1999 and has been a leader in producing college-educated PGA professionals who want to pursue a career in the golf business. e program prides itself on hav- ing the largest PGA staff with eight PGA professionals and boasts an impressive 18-hole, on-campus golf course known as "Downback." "Receiving this scholarship is such an honor. It's a testament to our hard work and perseverance," said Brosig. "ese funds allow me to fully focus on my education and my game rather than getting a job to pay for college. In the long run, I know this extra dedication will pay off greatly as this will allow me to become the best player and profes- sional I can be." In addition to its PGM program, MU golf sets itself apart nationally: e Women's Team has 26 team national championships (including 2021) and 15 individual national titles. e Men's Team has 13 team national championships (including 2022), 10 individual national titles.
