Creating a personal rapport with other Com- munity Leaders and establishing those relationships, are invaluable resources for sharing useful infor- mation." Council Member BearCat said, "The biggest take away was realiz- ing other communities have same, or even greater problems than us through networking with other of- fi cials and gaining a better apprecia- tion for our community. We learned we are on the right track of grow- ing our community. I learned other comunities are also struggling with enforcement of municipal codes and laws. But we are fortunate to have an experienced Town Manager to ad- dress these matters. We are also very fortunate that we have an adequate water supply, compared to other cit- ies & towns, and we must continue to manage our growth carefully." Council Member Goldberg said, "I think my biggest takeaway was that issues, good and not so good, that Quartzsite is dealing with, are being experienced by many other commu- nities. Water, housing, homeless- ness, and workforce, to name a few, are prominent issues throughout Ari- zona. We are very lucky to have Man- agement and staff that are guiding us in fi nding constructive solutions to deal with many of these issues. Af- ter visiting with a number of elected from other communities, we learned Quartzsite is well respected for our Management and achievements." Council Member Amon said, "I was impressed with the comments from other participants on how much has been achieved by the Town of CONFERENCE FROM PAGE 1 awarded $200 Amazon Gift Card for winning "Best City/Town Pride."
