& The Lion The Ladybug P H I M U F R A T E R N I T Y A T O L E M I S S FALL 2022 T here is nothing more satisfying than achieving a long-awaited goal. After three years of planning, six months of postponing due to COVID-19, and feeding over 400 girls in a 2,000-square-foot dining room while construction goes on all around them, we have achieved our goal! It is beautiful. We are so proud of Spring Construction, Joy Fratesi (White Leopard Designs), Edye Conkerton (architect), A2H engineers, Goodearth Landscaping, Markie Duke Movers, and Renasant Bank for all the hard work and respect for deadlines that had to be met. The result is stunning. Welcome home to our new housemother, Kim Warner. Welcome home to the girls of Alpha Delta Chapter who have never lived or had recruitment in our house. Welcome home to our new pledges. Welcome home to all our Phi Mu sisters who deserve to gather and share memories in such a gorgeous setting—and I promise we will gather! We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces at the newly renovated Phi Mu house (see our save the dates section on page 4) and let me be the first to say—Welcome HΦME. Love in Our Bond, Ann Hein DeVoe '81 Alpha Delta House Corporation President WELCOME HΦME WE HAVE ACHIEVED OUR GOAL! Embracing New Changes ALPHA DELTA HOPES TO BECOME MORE INVOLVED THIS FALL A lpha Delta Chapter spent the summer preparing for the university's primary recruitment, which began August 13. As with everything, we experienced change. e Panhellenic recruitment process was slightly different with potential new members submitting a video for their Greek Day round. Each following round had two days, except Preference. Bid Day was held in the grove on August 20, and we welcomed the largest incoming freshmen class in Ole Miss history! We are thrilled to have them as part of our sisterhood, and just in time to move into the updated Alpha Delta Chapter House. We look forward to having more space and a strengthened sisterhood. Alpha Delta members work as orientation leaders to prepare incoming freshmen for their first year at Ole Miss. Sisters get ready for recruitment. Alpha Delta is ready for game day! Here, McKenna Reese '19 and Alex McConnell '19 represent the Rebels. (Continued on page 3) BIG THINGS ARE AHEAD Stay Tuned for More Details After many months of market research, alumnae interviews, and long-range planning, the Alpha Delta House Corporation has completed the steps to meet our goal of renovating and expanding our Chapter House. The board looks forward to sharing more information with all Alpha Delta alumnae on how they can support the house and legacy of Alpha Delta.
