Blue ribbons & funnel cakes:
Let's go to the fair!

For a hundred years or more in most counties in Arkansas, the
county fair has been a tradition, and a learning opportunity for kids
like you. Of course, county fairs are also just plain fun!
The 118th Annual Benton County Fair will be
happening September 27 through October 1,
2022 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in
Bentonville.
There will be a carnival, fair food
(funnel cakes, yum!), demonstrations
and exhibits. Come and say hello to the
cattle, the pigs, the sheep, the goats,
even the rabbits and fancy chickens.
Best of all, everyone can
participate! You don't have to live on
a farm or raise livestock to be part of
a county fair. In the exhibit hall, youth
and adults can enter their preserved
food, woodwork, sewing, crochet,
quilting, photography, fine arts, homegrown
flowers and vegetables. STEM entries and
table setting are also part of the wide array
of projects you can present at the Fair, with
the chance to win ribbons and prizes!
thrills on the midway
Beyond the blue ribbons, the
demonstrations, the food, and the excitement
of competition at the fair, everyone looks
forward to the thrills on the midway. And this
year's carnival will be bigger and better than ever!
There will be tilt-a-whirls and Ferris wheels,
AND the carnival will have some rides not found
anywhere else in the country!
